I played around, and got this, and it reminded me of some concepts of theoretical physics, in which the universe is basically like a towel folded over a rack. Holes in the "fabric" allow you to travel between otherwise extremely distant points in a matter of seconds. It plays on the concepts of time travel and warping the space/time continuum. Crazy stuff I tell ya. :slow:

This reminded me of that concept.

Amazing

I viewed it on a large Mac with a very high res video card.

Best if seen large.
True. I originally did it at 4000x2500.

The model railroad at my club has these. I continuously remind our visitors that the reason why they see steam engines, NJT commuter trains, double stacks and 4-4-0 americans all on the same rails is because we have a wormhole in the staging tracks which allow us to pass things thru the space time continuum. haha

Nice work btw. :)

There is a difference between Model Trains and Toy Trains. I should know, I own both.
Thanks. ;P

Good analogy. It's nice to see a model railroad club that doesn't model on a "prototype" and just throws down whatever looks good.

Your welcome.

The layout generally looks like an old historic industrual town(s), with a rail line that has a very healty steam program. Most of the buildings are 40s and 50s era. We have a small amount of modern ones, and modern things like a diesel engine facility and a cell phone tower. :)

See, whenever I get space and time to do mine, I'm going completely modern. Hardly anybody does that, and it'll probably cost a little more, but it's easier to go out and find what you want to see in it.

Yea, same here. When I get my layout its gonna be modern, not much older than the 80s, and its gonna be for the NJT commuter trains and some conrail local freight. My ye olde 50s and 60s Pennsy stuff I like to use at the club since I can run longer trains there and its a freight railroad. Trying to model an era I never existed in is very difficult for me, I just like the equiptment from then.
