This was something different. Amidst the hordes of coal drags and autoracks that kept coming through, this local manifest made an appearance, and it made things interesting.
Union Pacific GP38-2 #765 hauls a manifest and a dead C40-8 (unmarked) eastbound on the KP line double track in Lawrence, KS past CP 40, also designated as a Hold Point, which you can see by the ABS stands. These guys ultimately sent the second unit on to St. Louis from the KC yard in another mixed freight consist, most likely bound for Illinois and the EMD shops within.
