Horrible High Line Shot

Description

I couldn't not title this, because, welp...

This is mainly for learning purposes. To demonstrate how much of a clusterfuck it is at Santa Fe Jct., look at the trackage above: the "High Line" occupied by the KCS grain shuttle connects UP's Armourdale Yard (and, indirectly, UP's Fairfax/ Yard) to the north with the BNSF Fort Scott sub to the south and Marceline Sub to the east, UP's River Sub to the east, KCS' Hannibal sub to the east, and the rest of the complex.

The bottom half of the Kansas River bridge connects KCT's Mill Street Yard and UP's Armourdale Yard to the north with BNSF's Emporia Sub (and by default, Argentine Yard) to the west, Fort Scott Sub to the south (opposing direction), Brookfield Sub to the east, St. Joseph Sub (and by default, Murray Yard) to the northeast, and Marceline Sub to the east, NS' Kansas City District (and by default, Avondale Yard) to the northeast, the KCS Hannibal Sub (and by default, the joint KCS/CP Knoche Yard) and Pittsburg Sub.

I'm working on a map, because trying to explain this in detail via writing is just a fucking travesty. :slow:

A pair of KCS AC4400CWs #4624 and #4616 lead a northbound unit grain shuttle across the KCT High Line toward UP's Armourdale Yard at Santa Fe Junction. Interestingly enough, the late labrat-78 :iconlabrat-78: caught #4616 here and #4624 here years back.

Horrible High Line Shot? Are you freakin kidding? It's a great shot! Just identify the engines and the train number and you're in like flint!
