Description
This was by far one of my best quick-trips of railfanning.
The vantage point I was shooting from is easily 100 foot higher in elevation than all of the surround terrain to the north. The Yocemento grain elevator is seen at right, and the KP mainline runs right alongside. Old US Highway 40 runs down through the foreground, and Yocemento road crosses both in the perpendicular direction.
Here, UP ES44AC (C45AC-CTE) #7604 leads UP C40-8W #9404, FURX SD40-2 #7940 (ex-BN), and UP SD70MAC #4408 westbound down the KP line with a long line of grain hopper empties.
This is currently my desktop background at 1920x1280.
