This quick "foam session" was a nice change of scenery. First time I'd railfanned in and Emporia, KS on the BNSF Emporia sub.
Some people refer to BNSF's first run of new C44-9Ws after the merger as "Fakebonnets" since they have the old ATSF warbonnet livery with BNSF lettering. Here, one of those (#4701) and a KCS ES44AC pull an autoracks consist west out of the yard throat from Emporia, KS. Note the color distortion of the signals from the exhaust plumes.
